For the past few years, I’ve been immersed in the world of antiques and vintage treasures – buying, collecting, and sometimes selling pieces that caught my eye.
Back then, I never imagined this passion would grow so quickly or take me so far.
I soon felt the need to organize my finds and share them in a way that tells their stories. That’s why I decided to start writing short posts on my website, using my own discoveries as illustrations.
At first, I believed antiques were only of interest to a narrow circle – specialist collectors, researchers, or those with greater means.
But today, antiques and vintage items are enjoying a real comeback. Various trends and events have converged to spark this renewed fascination.
Not long ago, “antique” meant anything made before 1840. Later, the definition expanded to include items over 100 years old. Today, the term is often used to describe objects created before and even during the Second World War.
What makes these pieces so captivating? Their stories, their craftsmanship, their design – and yes, sometimes their surprisingly high value.
Through my posts, I hope to give readers both the knowledge and the confidence to explore, appreciate, and perhaps even begin their own collections.
